Myanmar is in the midst of a technology and connectivity revolution as mobile and internet penetration continues to grow at a rapid pace. Since 2015, the country has been experiencing a connectivity revolution.
Myanmar’s laws and regulations were changed to enable millions of people to get connected. However, not nearly enough has been done to protect the rights of these users when it comes to regulations.
It becomes important that there is a platform which brings civil society, tech community, journalists, private sector and the government to come together to discuss how to better protect people's rights on the internet.
